Love That Never Dies
This disc, a sampler from the Byrds' four-disc anthology from 1990, does a stellar job spotlighting the classics: "Mr. Tambourine Man," "I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better," etc. It also includes some gems from the Clarence White years, 1969-'71, which is an underrated period in the band's history. But for some odd reason Columbia didn't include a single song off the country-rock landmark Sweetheart of the Rodeo. Of course, this is a good thing if you despise pedal steel.
