About Josef Suk
Josef Suk (1874-1935) was a Czech composer and violinist. He studied with Dvorak, who is a major influence in his work, and married Dvorak's daughter in 1898. Among his most famous works are the 1892 "Serenade for Strings" and the broad 1906 symphony "Asrael." From 1922 on, he taught composition at the Prague Conservatory.
