Crystal Fighters' primordial mishmash of U2 arena-reverb, synth-dance and indie tomfoolery is the type of "alternative dance" that now dominates alt radio. Can't go wrong if it moves your body; wiggly, ultra-catchy single "You & I" even sports an Afro-Cuban groove. Maybe this British-Spanish collective could do for Orchestra Baobab what Vampire Weekend did for mbaqanga, but it's hardly the end of the story. "Are We One" is propulsively glitch new wave and "Separator" updates the Cars' keyboard settings. For 10 songs they don't miss a beat, even though that beat changes 10 times.
